Larval substrate: Pinus contorta (Lodgepole Pine), Pinus sylvestris (Scotch Pine), Pinus resinosa (Red Pine)
Phenology: Adult: 6/12 to 6/18 (2 records)
Comment: Requires confirmation. True O. piniariella does not seem to occur in North America and all Ocnerostoma from eastern North America are probably O. strobivorum.
