Larval substrate: Condalia hookeri (Brazilian Bluewood), Karwinskia humboldtiana (Coyotillo), Frangula caroliniana (Carolina Buckthorn), Frangula alnus* (Glossy Buckthorn)
Phenology: Adult: 5/26 to 11/17 (115 records)
Comment: All Magusa found north of S. Florida are now considered to be M. divaricata, not M. orbifera. First larvae found in Massachusetts in 2023, feeding on Glossy Buckthorn. Although it seems the species can have one generation of larvae in Massachusetts, it is not known whether the species can survive the winter.
