Larval feeding type: Seed feeder, in a trivalve, tubular silk case.
Larval substrate: Portulaca spp., including Portulaca oleracea (Common Purslane)
Phenology: Adult: 8/06 (1 record)
Comment: WS 10-11.5mm; a pre-1995 record of C. texanella from MA exists, but no details are known; found in Greece in 2003 and is now spreading throughout southern Europe. Specimens from Massachusetts need confirmation by genitalia dissection.
