Larval feeding type: Skeletonizes the underside of a leaf from a silken tube. Hibernates as a larva.
Larval substrate: Epigaea repens (Trailing arbutus, Mayflower)
Phenology: Adult: 5/12 to 8/10 (14 records)

Comment: MA is type locality; A. argutiola, A. trialbamaculella and A. epigaeella require genitalia dissection to distinguish. There are probably more species in this group, as there are 6 DNA barcodes for these names.
