Phenology: Adult: 5/24 to 8/10 (34 records)
Comment: Similar to the much rarer A. inebriata, but that species can be distinguished by the absence of white-marked veins at the junction of M3 and CuA1 (i.e. just below the reniform). Also, in A. inebriata the veins beyond the reniform are black or dark brown and the reniform is represented by two black dots in a pale yellow patch. This pale patch is not, or barely, present in A. verbascoides and the area beyond the reniform is yellowish to pale brown with weak, usually interrupted, black streaks, the veins usually marked with two black dots.
